child safety standards

last updated 6 August 2026

Maunoh has zero tolerance for content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form. This page describes the measures we take to prevent, detect, and respond to this content.

who can use maunoh

Maunoh is restricted to users 18 and over. We use platform-level age verification to block accounts identified as belonging to minors from downloading the app, signing up, or making purchases.

anonymity has limits

Other users never see who posted a blip or reply — but we do. Every blip and reply is linked to the account that posted it in our own systems, even though this is never exposed to other users. This means anonymity does not mean unaccountability: content and accounts can be identified, reviewed, and removed.

reporting

Any blip or reply can be reported directly in the app. Reports are reviewed by us, and reported content is retained specifically for that review — even past the point it would otherwise have expired — so nothing disappears before it can be looked at.

If you encounter content that appears to involve child sexual abuse or exploitation, report it in-app immediately, or contact us directly at the email below.

content filtering

Maunoh runs an automated filter on posted content, enforced both on-device and at the server level, so it cannot be bypassed by a modified client. This is a first line of defense, not a substitute for human review — reported content is always reviewed by us directly.

enforcement

Accounts and content found to violate this policy are removed. Where required by law, we report CSAM to the relevant national authorities and cooperate with law enforcement investigations.

contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety concerns, including questions about our CSAM prevention practices, is available at hello@maunoh.com.
